  • Erin

Owner, GIA Graduate Diamonds, Graduate Pearls & AJP

My interest in jewellery started as a hobby and over the last decade I've worked hard to acquire the knowledge & skills to turn it into my full time career. I'm now working on my graduate gemmologist diploma. In my spare time I enjoy rock climbing.

  • Kris

    Owner

There's not much this man doesn't do! With experience in website design, graphic design & running a family business, most of his work is behind-the-scenes, but don't be surprised if he responds to your query. In his spare time Kris plays guitar.

  • Bench Jeweller

    London, England

DC is our bench jeweller who assists us in creating the new pieces we offer for sale. He also does resizing and general repair work.

Frequently asked questions

Do your items come with an appraisal?

Our pieces do not come with a certificate or appraisal unless stated in the listing. Erin has studied at GIA and uses the knowledge gained there to assess pieces.

We recommend that appraisals, such as for insurance, be carried out by a qualified independent appraiser, someone who does not buy or sell jewellery and therefore has no vested interest in the outcome of their findings.

How do I return an item from outside the UK?

If you are returning an item from outside the UK the original customs label, CN22 or the original Commercial Invoice if the item was sent DHL, must be adhered it to the outside of the returned package. The package must also be returned from the country it was sent to.

Please contact us for exact instructions. Failure to return the piece following our instructions may result in us being charged a non-refundable customs clearance fee and VAT at 20%. If these charges are incurred by Addy's Vintage due to incorrectly labelling an item during a return or returning it from a different country than it was originally posted to we will deduct these costs from the customer's refund. No one wants to unnecessarily donate money to the government!

How long do I have to return?

We accept returns / you may exercise your right to cancel within 14 days of you receiving your item. The item must be in its original condition and can be returned for any reason.

Outside the UK shipping from Addy's Vintage at a rate of £20 for Royal Mail and £40 for DHL is not refundable. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. If we provide a return shipping label for the buyer's ease, such as through DHL, this will be deducted from the refund at it's actual cost, to be agreed with the buyer before hand.

Within the UK the buyer is responsible for return shipping.

We are unable to accept returns on items which have been purchased on a lay-away / payment plan.

Can you resize my ring before shipping?

Generally, yes we can. Each ring has limits as to how much it can be sized up or down. We usually provide details of these limits in it's listing. The cost for resizing varies a lot based on how many sizes the item has to be altered. Please let us know the ring and required size for a quote.

We are NOT able to accept a return if the item has been altered in any way. If the item was altered by our jeweller, such as sizing, then we will guarantee the sizing or alteration but are unable to accept a return because it has been customised for you. We cannot accept a return or be held responsible for any work done on a piece by someone who is not employed by Addy's Vintage. This includes resizing or repair work completed by another jeweller.

How often do you ship?

We ship from London, England and aim to ship within three business days. Shipping transit times depend on the country the item is being shipped to. Customs, taxes, and import fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Each country has different rules on what can be imported and any fees associated with importing. If you need assistance in figuring out any of your country's import regulations or fees please contact us. Sales may be cancelled if the goods are not permitted to be imported to your country. We reserve the right to change the chosen shipping method for any reason.
